Yanda NgeMfundo was inspired by my nephew Neo, a genius in my eyes that the school system couldn't recognise. Neo could apply complex maths skills at home, yet was failing it dismally at school. He could solve real life problems by applying out-of-the-box simple effective solutions, yet he lacked the confidence to realise that is all the genius he needs, because school consistently told him he's a failure.

Through the Neo workshops we aim to help learners identify their skills, continue applying those skills to enrich their lives, so no other neo is lost to depression and drugs.

Private 30min session music lessons. All learners will start with a Soprano/Descant Recorder. A recorder costs +/-R100. The lessons are R50 per session or R200 per month. Once the learner has completed grade 1(music grade) Recorder and can read music, the learner can either continue with a recorder or move to a brass instrument(trombone, trumpet, euphonium) of choice. The lessons are offered in line with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music(ABRSM). If the learner's school doesn't offer music as a subject, on reaching grade 10(school grade), the school is able to register music as a grade 12(school grade) subject, so the learner can be assessed in music in Matric.
