Bee Weekly Update: KZN Spelling Bee Training Takes Flight 🐝
This week we were thrilled to continue our Spelling Bee training sessions with districts across the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education, building momentum as schools prepare to bring the joy of spelling and reading excellence into classrooms across the province.
The sessions were energetic, practical, and deeply engaging, with district officials showing strong commitment to strengthening literacy outcomes through the Spelling Bee programme as part of the broader District Reading Collectives.
We were also delighted to be joined by our friends at Reading Riot and ABSA, whose support and partnership continue to add real value to the National Reading movement.
Their presence helped energise the sessions and reinforce the shared mission of improving literacy in creative and impactful ways.
With strong provincial collaboration and growing enthusiasm on the ground, the Spelling Bee rollout in KZN is gaining real momentum—and we’re excited for what’s ahead in the weeks and months to come.
