Happy Spring Day!💐Wishing all our wonderful children and families a beautiful and happy Spring!🌺 Our beautiful, nature-based setting comes alive with blossoms, new leaves, flowers, birds and the gentle signs of new growth ,creating the perfect environment for our children to explore, discover and learn.

For our children, Spring is not simply something we talk about , it is something they experience. 🌼 They watch the changes in our garden, notice tiny flowers beginning to bloom, listen to the birds, feel the warmth of the sunshine and enjoy spending time outdoors in our beautiful natural surroundings.

We believe that nature is one of the greatest teachers. It gives children opportunities to observe, wonder, investigate and develop a deep appreciation for the world around them. 🌿🪻🐝

Today, we celebrate new beginnings, growth, curiosity and the joy of childhood,surrounded by the beauty of nature. 💚

Our chickens have laid their very first eggs! 🥚🐔

What a special and exciting experience for the children as they carefully collect the freshly laid eggs, pick them up and gently place them into our baskets. 🌿🤍

There is something truly magical about watching the children experience real life, hands-on learning , caring for our chickens and seeing where their food comes from. These simple, meaningful moments are exactly what childhood should be about. 🐓🥚✨

What a wonderful experience for our children! 💛

At our August holiday club today, the children loved going into their school garden to pick pretty , sweet smelling flowers 🌼They carefully pasted their flowers onto paper, creating beautiful see through creations to enjoy 🌸It was a lovely sensory experience, filled with colour, texture and the wonderful scents of nature 🦋🌻

There is something very special about getting down to a child’s level. ❤️

After 34 years as an educator, I have learnt that teaching is so much more than presenting a lesson. It is about being present, watching, listening, encouraging and knowing when to step in and when to simply let a child discover.

Watching their hands explore and their minds work, reminds me why I chose this beautiful profession all those years ago.

Every little concentration moment, every attempt, every smile of achievement and every “I did it!” is a reminder of just how extraordinary early childhood is.

I have had the privilege of teaching thousands of little hearts over the years, but I never stop feeling grateful for these moments.

Because education is not just about preparing children for life… it is about helping them discover who they are becoming. 🌿🤍

And that is why, after 34 years, I still absolutely love what I do. ❤️

Here, in our classroom, children believe in themselves, try new things, become independent, grow in confidence and discover just how very capable they really are!✨

But it’s also where childhood happens. ❤️

Where friendships begin, laughter fills the classroom, little achievements are celebrated, curiosity is encouraged and confidence quietly grows.

Where muddy hands, messy art, busy little minds and joyful moments become beautiful childhood memories.🦋

Because one day, our children will grow up ...🌍

And we hope they look back, with fond memories with a childhood filled with love, laughter, discovery, friendship and joy. 🌿✨

For over three decades, Field and Study Montessori Preschool has been a special part of the Field and Study community. What began as an old stable surrounded by dirt roads, long grass and an untapped natural environment has been lovingly transformed into a beautiful, nurturing Montessori preschool where children can learn, explore and grow surrounded by nature.

When I first saw the space, I had a vision of creating something truly special, a school where children could experience the wonder of childhood in a natural environment, while receiving a hands on Montessori education. Over the years, that vision has grown into a thriving little school that has become a familiar and valued part of the community.
Our nature-based approach is at the heart of what we offer. Our children enjoy daily opportunities to explore the outdoors, take nature walks, care for our gardens, observe plants and insects, play in the natural environment and learn through real experiences. 🌿🌸 Every corner of our school has been thoughtfully developed with the child in mind.

Field and Study Montessori has become more than a preschool; it has become a place where generations of young children have formed their first memories of school, developed a love for nature and gained the confidence and independence that Montessori education nurtures. We are incredibly proud of the mark we have made within the community and of the special place Field and Study Montessori has become.🌳🌻
