At Leigh's Swimming Academy, we are proud to play a small part in helping young South Africans grow in confidence, strength, resilience, and water safety. Every splash, every stroke, and every milestone achieved in the pool is a reminder that our children can accomplish amazing things when given the opportunity to learn and thrive.

We hope you are all keeping well and staying warm this winter.

Please note that the swim school will be closed for one week to allow for essential mid-winter maintenance and improvements to our facilities.

Closure Dates: 26 June – 3 July

Please rest assured that all lessons affected during this period have been, or will be, made up.

We would like to sincerely thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. Your trust means so much to us, and we are truly grateful to be part of your family's swimming journey.

Meet Teacher Cari 🩵

"I began my career in obstetric sonography, where I had the joy of scanning expectant moms and watching their babies grow before they even entered the world.

I loved supporting families in those first precious moments, but I sometimes wondered what these little ones would be like once they were born.

Becoming a swimming teacher has allowed me to continue that journey in a whole new way. I get to guide children in the water, celebrate their milestones, and watch their unique personalities shine.

Being part of their story, from the very first heartbeat to their proudest splashes in the pool, is a privilege I treasure every day."

Stroke correction classes are the key to building strong, confident and efficient swimmers! 🏊‍♀️✨

Our classes focus on improving technique, breathing, body position and overall stroke efficiency, therefore helping swimmers correct bad habits early while building confidence and endurance in the water.

Perfect for children who are already water-safe and swimming independently, stroke correction helps take their swimming to the next level in a fun and encouraging environment! 💙
