🐞🦋 Busy Week in Grade 0000! 🐜🐝

Our little learners have had a wonderful week exploring the fascinating world of insects! 🐞 They learned about different insects and where they live by matching each insect to its home, developing their observation and thinking skills while having lots of fun.

We also enjoyed a special baking activity where the children created their own adorable little bug treats. 🧁🐛 There were plenty of smiles as everyone got creative in the class!

A big thank you to our amazing class bakers for bringing in delicious sweet treats for us all to enjoy.

In line with our commitment to good health, our staff had an amazing month of movement, motivation, and healthy habits throughout May.

A massive shoutout to all our fantastic staff members who embraced the Step Strong May Challenge! Every single step you took not only boosted your own health and wellbeing but also strengthened our school community.

Today our Grade 0000 and 000 classes proudly took part in Slipper Day in support of the Reach for a Dream Foundation! ✨

Our little ones arrived in their cozy slippers, spreading smiles, warmth, and kindness while supporting a wonderful cause that brings hope and joy to children facing life-threatening illnesses. 💛

Minimum Requirements:

• SAHA Coaching Level 0 or higher
• Minimum of 2 years’ coaching experience
• Must be available to coach in the afternoons

Our High School proudly congratulates Arya and Aditi on their outstanding achievement at the 17th African Youth Chess Championship!

The talented sisters represented South Africa at the prestigious championship held in Entebbe, Uganda, from 14–23 May 2026, alongside more than 900 participants from across the African continent.

We are incredibly proud of their remarkable performances:

• Arya placed 7th in Africa in the U/16 section
• Aditi placed 5th in Africa in the U/14 section

Well done, ladies!

Congratulations to our Boden and Aitken hockey squads on achieving their best position in our school's history.

The Boden team finished 8th in the A Section while the 1st team achieved 6th place in the Aitken A-section.

The 1st team enjoyed some excellent performances including a 9-0 victory over Northcliff, a 5-1 victory over Monument and a 2-0 win over Helpmekaar.

Well done to our hockey boys on their superb efforts.
