Ridge Boys Making a Difference!⚽💙

We are incredibly proud of this Ridge boy for turning compassion into action.

What began as a community service initiative to raise funds for sanitary pads for girls at a local school grew into a charity soccer event that will provide sanitary pads for more than 1,000 girls for an entire year.🙌

A wonderful example of how one young person can recognise a need, take action, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.💪

We are grateful to the Menstruation Foundation for supporting this important initiative. 💙👏

Five games. Five Man of the Match awards. One incredible team effort! 💙

Our Ridge boys gave it their all at the SA Prep Schools Hockey Fest, hosted by DPHS in Durban, showing incredible heart, grit and determination throughout the festival. 💪

With every game, the team grew, learned and improved, leaving the festival stronger and better for the experience. 👏

A huge thank you to DPHS for hosting such a fantastic festival, and to Clifton School for hosting our boys and making the experience so special. We’re grateful for the opportunity for our boys to compete, learn and grow. 🏑🔥

Our boys are making their mark at the SA Prep Schools Hockey Festival, hosted by Durban Preparatory High School, with 12 schools from across the country competing.

Two games in, and we already have two Man of the Match awards, as selected by the umpires! 👏

Our boys recently experienced an incredible cultural trip where learning went far beyond the classroom. From the breathtaking Victoria Falls to immersing themselves in Zambia’s rich culture, they embraced every opportunity to explore, learn and grow.💪

A highlight was connecting with local schools and young people, gaining valuable insight into education and life in another part of our continent.

Throughout the journey, our boys represented The Ridge with pride, respect and enthusiasm, returning home with unforgettable memories and meaningful life experiences.🌍

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Youngsters Academy – a crèche we have partnered with from Brixton, to The Ridge School for a fantastic sports session on our fields.🙌

Recently, we proudly hosted a football festival alongside St Katharine's, Salvazione, and Auckland Park Preparatory School, bringing together young players for a day of exciting matches, teamwork, and great sportsmanship.🙌

The fields were filled with energy, determination, and plenty of memorable moments as the boys and girls showcased their skills, built new friendships, and embraced the true spirit of the game.👏

Recently, our Ridge boys immersed themselves in the rich history and traditions of our school through a series of hands-on experiences. From playing and trading marbles, just as Ridge boys did generations ago, to exploring the campus and discovering the stories behind its iconic landmarks, the boys gained a deeper appreciation for our proud heritage.🙌

Building character on and off the field!⚽

Recently, our Under 12 and Under 13 A & B soccer teams travelled to the Penryn Football and Robotics Festival, where they embraced every opportunity to compete, learn, and grow.👏

Alongside an outstanding week of football, The Ridge proudly entered a Robotics team for the first time, giving our boys the chance to showcase their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills. Throughout the festival, our boys represented The Ridge with pride, resilience, and exceptional sportsmanship, building friendships and creating memories that will last a lifetime.🙌
