Welridge Academy began in 1987 as a Pre-Primary School only. The school has had various names throughout the years and was named Welridge Academy in January 2008, with the view of starting a foundation phase. Since then we have grown the school from a Pre-School to a Primary school as well as a Pre-Primary school. Our school is registered with the Department of Education. Our registration details

On a more serious note, our teachers are truly amazing and genuinely love what they do. With small class sizes, every child gets that personalised attention, care, and connection they deserve 🤍✨

On these cold winter days all that’s needed are tiny giggles, warm hugs, and the sweetest little humans who somehow turn cold days into the cosiest kind of magic 🩷✨

These little cuties walk in like sunshine with backpacks and leave the teachers’ hearts fully topped up for the day. Days truly made. 🧸💛

Pre-school enrolments are open throughout the year, welcoming little ones from toddlers of 1 year old to Gr. 00 🌱

It’s time for the sweetest tradition on the school calendar… 🍭🎂✨

🍬 Cake & Candy Time is back again at Welridge Academy! 🍬

Our amazing Grade 4 learners are stepping up to raise funds and they’ve been busy behind the scenes preparing ALL the yummy treats that will be on sale this Friday! Think sweet surprises, delicious goodies, and lots of tasty temptation waiting for you at break time 😋

Even though we are a no-sugar school, we do make a special exception for this much-loved tradition. Each grade gets a turn to host Cake & Candy as a fun fundraiser, and yes… that means we all get to enjoy a little treat together as a school community 💛

So don’t forget to send some money with your young ones on Friday and let them treat themselves to something delicious!🍰🍬🧁🍩🍭

🦜✨ What an incredible experience for our preschoolers! ✨🦜

We had the privilege of welcoming the Eco Pilot Bird Sanctuary to our school, where they treated us to a fascinating demonstration showcasing just how intelligent and remarkable these beautiful birds truly are.

Our little ones were amazed as they watched the birds display their clever skills and unique personalities. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the importance of caring for and respecting these magnificent creatures, while also creating awareness about their wellbeing and conservation.💚

Birds are not only beautiful to look at, but they are also highly intelligent, social, and play an important role in our environment. Experiences like these help children develop a deeper appreciation for nature and the world around them.🦜🦅🦉

A huge thank you to the Eco Pilot Bird Sanctuary for sharing their knowledge and passion with us. It was a memorable day filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of feathered fun! 💚🌿🦜

Our Welridge Knights Chess Team did their very best this week! ♟️✨

We proudly won 3 games and achieved 2 draws. Although Baken Academy won overall, our team gave it their all and represented Welridge Academy with determination, sportsmanship, and heart 💚

Calling all parents, guardians, family, and friends 🤍🍽️

Join us for a fun evening out while supporting our Welridge Academy Fundraiser! Take a night off from cooking, enjoy a delicious meal, and spend time with our amazing school community ✨

Some of our learners will also be stepping into the world of hospitality for the evening by assisting the waiters. This exciting experience gives them practical exposure linked to EMS and Social Sciences, while building confidence and real-world skills 🌟

✨Ascension Day ✨

Today we commemorate Ascension Day, a special day in the Christian calendar that reminds us of the moment Jesus ascended into Heaven, forty days after His resurrection.

Ascension Day is a time of reflection, faith, and hope. It reminds us that although Jesus returned to His Father, He promised to always be with us and to guide us through His love and grace.🙏🏻

As a school community, we take this opportunity to encourage our children to grow in kindness, compassion, and faith, and to remember that we are never alone, even in challenging times.🩷
