Today we share that Lonehill Nursery School will be closing at the end of April 2026.

This is not the end, but rather the beginning of a new chapter. We are incredibly proud of the love, laughter, and learning that has filled our classrooms over the years. The memories, friendships, and foundations built here will always remain part of our story.

To every family, child, and staff member who has been part of our journey — thank you for your trust, support, and community. 💛

Continuing our week of fun-filled learning, we took the excitement outdoors with some creative pretend kitchen play 💚🍝

The children explored the colour green in the most hands-on way – mixing, stirring and “cooking” green spaghetti in their outdoor kitchen! They had an absolute blast pretending to prepare meals, setting the table, and sitting down together for their “dinner.”

We also snuck in some important skill-building by practicing our cutting once again ✂️ strengthening those fine motor muscles while having so much fun. And of course, no kitchen is complete without washing up afterwards – encouraging responsibility and role play at its best!

Alongside their snipping fun, they’ve also been busy squishing, rolling, and squeezing playdough to strengthen those important hand muscles 💪👐 Strengthening little hands today helps build confident writers tomorrow!

Sprinkler cool-downs were a hit, and the sandpit fun kept those little hands (and imaginations!) busy 🏖️💦
