The University of Johannesburg Young Leaders Development Programme is a course offered by the Department of Industrial Psychology and People Management, UJ Transformation Unit, UJ College of Business and Economics, and Higher Education Partners South Africa. The UJYLDP is about empowering and equipping Young Leaders to be Social Change Agents by developing their understanding of others and self awareness of their roles and responsibilities as leadership in different contexts.

Rufus was part of the Winning UJ Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Team for 2022. Rufus and his team are not only the National Champions, but also Continental Champions of this International Law Moot Court Competition!
The Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court is the largest Moot Court Competition in the world with participants from 700 Law Schools, from 100 Countries and Jurisdictions. The UJ Jessup Team won the the South African rounds, and the Best Memorials. The team then advanced to the Preliminary International rounds. The UJ Jessup Moot Court Team proceeded to win the Preliminary Rounds; and progressed to Advanced Rounds of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Rufus and his Team are the Top Team in Africa!
