Bitcoin 'could be worth $1.36 million by 2030'

A single Bitcoin could be worth $1.36 million by 2030, according to a bullish new report by ARK Invest. However, this hinges on increased adoption among countries, asset managers and companies in the S&P 500. Overall, ARK Invest argues Bitcoin has "significant appreciation potential" — and its total market cap could scale 25x over the next decade. At the time the report was being prepared, BTC had a market cap of $1.1 trillion — compared with $10 trillion for gold and $106 trillion for global equities.

3 KINDS OF CRYPTOCURRENCY CRIME

While cryptocurrency is touted as secure, it is not invulnerable to theft.

1) Cryptocurrency ransomware attacks

Ransomware attacks have cost the industry +- $370 million in cryptocurrency. Ransomware is a malware that infiltrates and attacks a system, in the same format as a “kidnapping of the target system for payment”. The attackers threaten to release sensitive data or prevent system access unless a ransom is paid. The single largest global ransomware attack occurred in July 2021.

2) Cryptocurrency scams

Scams are run, mostly, over social media (FB, Twitter, Linkedin, etc) platforms, fake websites, fake crypto coded wallet and other platforms were enthusiasts are participating. A scam in 2020 stole $2.35 billion by offering monthly payments to users of its cryptocurrency wallet before abandoning the scheme and withdrawing the wallet funds. This largest crypto scam originating in South Africa.

3) Criminal Code Hacking

Criminals employ hacking techniques, social engineering scams and phishing scams to steal cryptocurrency from targeted victims. These are complex techniques that are carried out by people with a deep understanding of coding languages.

The largest known cryptocurrency theft was the $600 million Poly Network hack in August 2021. Poly Network is a decentralized finance (“DeFi”) cryptocurrency platform, a category that has been particularly vulnerable to hacks. Following the return of the stolen funds, the story underwent a strange twist, as the company invited the hacker responsible for the break to become their Chief Security Advisor.

December 8, the USA congress (Committee on Financial Services) held a hearing on the Role of crypto currency in our society. The interaction between serious role players within the industry and the congress leaders was very informative (you can go search it on Utube- titled: WATCH: Crypto CEOs Testify before Congress – Livestream).

The focus of this meeting was to establish the NEED FOR REGULATING CRYPTOCURRENCIES. A very critical topic to engage in at this time of the industry’s development. The questions and answers given there are important to note as what happens in USA affects the whole world.

Space X (Elon Musk’s Space Company) will be launching a rocket into space in march 2022 to place a satellite on the orbit of the moon. This Satellite is financed by Cryptocurrency (worth $250 mil) known as Dogecoin. The Satellite is called Doge 1 ( which means there will be a Doge 2 in the Future)...

Unizen, a smart exchange ecosystem and ZenX, a decentralized finance incubator, will build the DOGE-1 cubesat - a miniature satellite that obtains information from space using cameras, sensors and mirrors - that will be launched into a lunar orbit, according to a report by CoinTelegraph.
