Leaping Ahead Playschool

Our Cultural Day at Leaping Ahead was a truly special and memorable experience, filled with colour, excitement, and meaningful learning. The school was transformed into a beautiful “Around the World” journey ✈️, with each classroom and display representing different countries and cultures that we have been exploring.

The children were introduced to a variety of countries, including Japan 🇯🇵, Italy 🇮🇹, India 🇮🇳, Germany 🇩🇪, Spain 🇪🇸, Portugal 🇵🇹, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦, Zambia 🇿🇲, Lesotho 🇱🇸, South Africa 🇿🇦, and USA 🇺🇸. Each setting was thoughtfully decorated to reflect the unique identity of the country, allowing the children to feel as though they were travelling the world without leaving the school grounds

Throughout the day, the children had the opportunity to experience different traditions 🎶👘, from cultural clothing and music to simple customs that gave them a glimpse into how people live around the world 🌎. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged, curious, and excited 😊 as they explored each country.

A definite highlight of the day was the opportunity to enjoy flavours from around the world 🍕🍛🍜🥨. The children tasted a variety of foods inspired by different cultures, making the experience not only educational 📚 but also fun and interactive 🎉. This allowed them to connect their learning to real-life experiences through taste, smell, and shared enjoyment.

Cultural Day was more than just a fun event—it was a valuable opportunity for the children to develop an appreciation for diversity 🤝, learn about different ways of life, and celebrate the beauty of cultures from across the globe 🌐.
It truly was a day filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories ❤️🌟.

🐄🌾 Farm Week Fun at Leaping Ahead! 🌾🐄

What an absolutely wonderful week we had learning all about life on the farm and everything that happens there! 🚜🐑

Our little farmers got hands-on as they shook fresh cream into butter, discovering just how farm food is made. We also explored how pigs love their muddy homes with a fun and messy muddy pig sensory experience — lots of giggles included! 🐖💦

Our Farm Dress-Up Day was filled with adorable farmers, cowgirls, and the cutest little farm animals you’ve ever seen! 🤠🐓

To end off the week, our children enjoyed a very special Farm Day Visit, where they met goats, rabbits, sheep, and horses — and even got the chance to ride a pony! 🐐🐇🐎

So much learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories were made during our farm animal adventures! ❤️🌻

💖✨ Mr. & Miss Valentine 2026 – What a Blast at Leaping Ahead! ✨💖

Our Mr. & Miss Valentine 2026 celebration was filled with love, laughter, confidence, and so much joy!

The children had the opportunity to walk the runway, express themselves, and proudly show off their beautiful outfits and unique personalities.
It was so special to see each child bravely step forward, shine with confidence, and cheer their friends on. Moments like these remind us how important it is to build self-esteem, courage, and kindness in our little ones.

🐑💛 Little Lambs Learning & Growing at Leaping Ahead! 💛🐑

Our sweet Little Lambs at Leaping Ahead have had such a wonderful and busy start to the school year! It has been so special watching our tiniest learners settle in, explore their surroundings, and grow more confident each day.

The children have been strengthening their little bodies by crawling through tunnels, enjoying tummy time, and having lots of giggles in the ball pit — all helping to develop their gross motor skills, coordination, and confidence through play.

We’ve also started introducing early learning skills in fun, hands-on ways. The Little Lambs have been learning to identify and write the number 1, practicing their pre-writing skills in sand trays, and exploring creativity by stamping shapes with paint. These sensory-rich activities help build fine motor control while making learning exciting and meaningful.

Every day is filled with smiles, discovery, and precious moments as they learn through touch, movement, and play. We are so proud of how brave and curious our Little Lambs are becoming! 🌟

😊💛 Feelings & Emotions Week at Leaping Ahead 💛😊

This week at Leaping Ahead, our theme was all about feelings and emotions — helping our little ones understand that every feeling matters and learning healthy ways to express themselves.
We explored the many emotions we all experience each day, from happiness and excitement to sadness, shock, and everything in between.

Through discussions and play, the children learned that it’s okay to feel different emotions and that talking about them helps us grow stronger and kinder.

One of the highlights of the week was our Mood Volcanoes! 🌋
We spoke about how different colours can represent different moods and feelings. The children loved watching their colourful volcanoes bubble and erupt — a fun and visual way to understand how big emotions can build up and how we can safely let them out.

We also enjoyed dough play, where the children created their very own emoji faces using dough, beads, pom-poms, and eyes. Using emotion cards, each child designed different facial expressions and practiced identifying what each feeling looks like. Such a wonderful way to build fine motor skills while learning about emotions at the same time!

Another special activity was making emotions hand puppets. The children coloured, created, and then used their puppets to share how they were feeling. It was heartwarming to see them confidently express themselves and support one another.

At Leaping Ahead, we believe emotional development is just as important as academic learning. Teaching children to recognise, understand, and talk about their feelings helps build empathy, confidence, and strong social skills.
What a meaningful and creative week it has been! 💚

🎒✨ Back-to-School Workshop Fun at Leaping Ahead! ✨🎨

What an exciting and joy-filled start to our new school year! Our Back-to-School Workshop was filled with laughter, creativity, and lots of happy energy.

The children had an absolute blast bouncing on the jumping castle, building confidence, strengthening their gross motor skills, and enjoying special time with their friends. The playground was full of smiles and giggles!

Inside the classroom, little hands got busy painting their very own wooden apples. These will be used for our threading activities, helping to develop fine motor skills, hand strength, coordination, and concentration — all while having fun and being creative.

At Leaping Ahead, we love combining play and learning, because that’s when the magic really happens. Thank you to all our families for your continued support. We are so excited for a wonderful year ahead filled with growth, discovery, and special memories together.

Transport Week at Leaping Ahead! 🚗🚲🚤

What an exciting week we had! The children explored all things transport through fun, hands-on activities.

🚤 They tested floating and sinking with our cargo boat experiment.
🚲 Zoomed around on Bring Your Bike to School Day.
🚗 Built and decorated their very own box cars and had a mini parade.
🍇🥕 And even made edible transport treats during baking!

So much learning, laughing and exploring. 💛
We love watching our little ones learn through play! 🌈✨

🇬🇷✨ Greek Week Adventures! ✨🇬🇷

This week we travelled back in time to Ancient Greece!

The children created their own Greek mystical potions with colourful, bubbly eruptions — a magical science experiment that brought the myths to life! 🧪💥

They also built Greek ruins, using tubes and blocks to design tall pillars and majestic temples just like in ancient Greece. 🏛️

Since the Olympics originated in Greece, we celebrated with our very own Mini Olympics Day! 🥇🏃‍♀️
The children took part in fun races, obstacle courses, and games — showing wonderful team spirit, determination, and joy! 🎽🏅

To end off our theme, we explored the colour NEON and had a glowing Neon Party filled with fluorescent lights, glowing paints, and loads of bright, glowing fun. 🌈💡🎉

What an exciting week of learning, laughter, and creativity — a true celebration of Greek history and culture!

🌞 Summer Fun Week at Leaping Ahead! 🌴

This week we learnt all about summer! Our little ones had a wonderful time exploring the joys of the sunny season through exciting and creative activities.

In BakerKid, we made delicious and healthy palm trees using cucumbers, bananas, and grapes — what a fun (and tasty!) way to learn about tropical fruits! 🍌🥒🍇

Our art activities were full of color and creativity as we enjoyed ice painting, flower art, and ice-cream painting. 🎨❄️🍦

To top it all off, we had an amazing Water Day! The children loved sliding, splashing, and cooling off in the pools — the perfect way to celebrate the warm, sunny weather! 💦☀️

It’s been a week full of laughter, learning, and sunshine! 🌼
