We are immensely proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement by Christopher Gait-Smith who has been crowned the Computer Olympiad Champion for 2026.

After progressing through the competition, Chris took on the final round in Cape Town on 11 July, where his exceptional computational thinking, problem-solving ability and determination saw him rise to the very top.

This remarkable achievement is a testament not only to his talent, but to the curiosity, perseverance and intellectual ambition that drive our pupils to excel beyond the classroom.

The celebrations culminated at our Colours Assembly on 5 August, where the Computer Olympiad team visited the school to formally present Chris with his award.

Congratulations to Cyan Robert who continues to make her mark on the South African competitive dance stage. Over the past couple of months Cyan has delivered an exceptional season of results across multiple prestigious competitions.

At the International Dance Awards, she earned High Gold Awards and Federation Colours for her acrobatic solo, open solo, contemporary group and jazz group, while also securing an invitation to perform at the prestigious International Gala this August.

Her success continued at the Pulse Dance Competition, where she achieved 1st place in her Open Solo, 2nd place in her Acrobatic Solo and 6th place in her Contemporary Solo. At the Dancer of the Year competition, Cyan placed 3rd in her Acrobatic Solo and 1st with her groups, qualifying to compete against international dancers in South Africa.

These remarkable achievements have seen Cyan qualify for opportunities in several countries around the world this year - a testament to her talent, commitment and passion for dance. Well done! 💙

7 records were broken at the 2026 Senior Prep InterHouse Athletics! 🏆

The participation was heartening and resulted in a memorable day’s Athletics. The under 9 boys 600m race was a particular highlight with the athletes diving over the finish to win.

The passion shown by the houses and the enthusiastic support by our parents resulted in a great day’s racing. Thank you.
