Student Locked in:



As part of the control measures to alleviate the over swipe matter and also to mitigate the back and forth movement of students, where in turn we add value to our merchants. Fundi and UJ saw it fit to lock in students as of the 28th of September 2019 based on where they swipe. It has come to our attention that some students have since then requested to get unlocked as they would like to move or make payments to merchants they “owe”.



Process:



Student to be referred to the relevant POSA office with their student number, certified i.d copy, previously signed lease agreement, signed release form, a new lease agreement of where the student will be residing and the new invoice.

Congratulations to two POSA residences Respublica and City Waldorf for winning Sing-It-Out competition in DFC and APB campuses respectively. This is part of our efforts to integrate POSA residences into the university's student life programs. They defeated Gauta, Phumlani, Akanani, Kopano, Kilimanjaro, Ikhayalethu, Robin Crest, Horizon, Ndlovukazi etc. 👏👏👏. Competition continues at central level next week

Compliments of the new year. Please note that our office is currently finalizing accreditation of properties for 2019 academic year. The list will be published on UJ website as soon as it is available. For any queries, feel free to visit our offices accross all the four campuses.

Students staying at accredited POSA, please take note of the procedures that the university has put in place in case of a medical emergency 🚑👇

Our office would like to put emphasis on the following: Should a student wish to move from property A to property B, they are advised to do so only after one calendar month written notice to property A. Moving out of any property without having done so will result in you still being held liable for rental of that particular month. Let us all comply with this policy provision.

To improve efficiency and turnaround time of attending to student complaints, we will now be based in all 4 campuses of our institution. For Soweto Campus visit us at Ukhamba Building office ADB113, DFC at Student Accommodation Officers near main gate and APB its Old Hospital Flats behind Horison Ladies Residence. Offices for APK to be communicated in due course.

Our coordinators will be conducting unannounced inspections at accredited properties across the 4 campuses to ensure compliance is maintained at all times and also assess the quality of service that students receive.
