🌟📚 | Leadership in Action

At the start of the Teach With Africa programme, GTI interns took part in a powerful orientation session led by Rachel and Flora, setting the tone for a meaningful three-week exchange. 🤝✨

The session introduced participants to the programme structure, school placements, and expectations - while also creating a strong sense of belonging and connection from day one. A special welcome from Harry further reflected the care and intentional leadership behind the programme. 🌍💛

This experience has strengthened leadership, mentorship, and global education understanding, while building confidence and vision for the future.

Interns will take these insights back to South Africa to enhance:
📚 Learner-centred teaching approaches
🤝 Stronger mentorship and support systems
🔄 Structured, reflective classroom practices

Moments like these show how global exposure translates into local impact - strengthening teaching, learning, and ultimately learner outcomes. 🌱

🌍✨ GTI at the Teach With Africa Gala Dinner & Fundraising Event

GTI Interns and host families attended a powerful fundraising gala on 18 March 2016, bringing together educators, partners, and supporters committed to advancing education and community development. 🤝📚

The evening highlighted the strength of collaboration across the education ecosystem, where shared vision and investment help sustain impactful programmes that create real opportunities for learners and educators.

A special moment of the evening was the recognition of John Gilmore, founder of GTI and LEAP, whose leadership continues to open doors for educators and strengthen learning communities across contexts. 💛

Beyond celebration, the event reinforced a key truth: lasting change in education is only possible through partnership, funding, and collective commitment.
