Dear Parents

It is time to take our role back as parents. We must realize the deep importance and impact we have in instilling and nurturing the values our children need to survive in society.

Right now, many of our children are drawn to bad peer groups. They indulge in substances from a young age and find role models in gangs. This happens because of a lack of a strong family code at home. We must understand the importance of discipline, respect, and honour.

Children thrive on structure, but many parents have left that job to schools, churches, and outside parties.The teen years are critical. We have to fully commit to being a positive influence in the home. If we do not, we will lose them to groups that live by destructive codes.

When we look around our communities, we must ask ourselves how we can spark real change.

Action Steps for Parents

Take them to a place of worship:Church and youth groups shape teenagers by providing a framework of moral values, community support, and personal identity. These groups offer safe spaces for social interaction, positive adult and peer role models.

The Bible is clear,spare the rod and spoil the child.

Lead the household: Be parents, not friends who take instructions from children.

Assign responsibilities: Make sure they still do chores around the house or they will meet a group/gang that assigns duties to them.

Manage technology: Monitor and limit their time on devices and the internet.

Reconsider allowances: Do not give out unearned pocket money.

Stop harmful habits: Ensure they are not indulging in va**ng or smoking or any other substance

Know their circle: Closely watch who they call friends.

Address early dating: Address the growing trend of primary school relationships.

We are not just trying to save them for today. We are shaping them for the years to come.

Mrs. Goss dedicated her life to serving children and building Feed My Lambs into the caring and nurturing school community that it is today. Her love, vision, and unwavering commitment have touched the lives of countless families, and her legacy will continue to live on through our school.

We ask that you keep the family, as well as our school community, in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
