Journal Clubbers! π£π£
Existing reference ranges for measuring the canine kidney are broad, and therefore cannot be used to quantify chronic or acute renal disease. In Januaryβs journal club, IMV vet Amy examines a very recent paper which demonstrates that the renal cortical thickness, when indexed to the aorta, changes with the type of renal disease, and that cutoff values of this ratio can be used as a diagnostic aid in renal injury. With easily repeatable measurements and real first opinion relevance, this journal club will up your game with renal disease. Tune in to learn more!

Hello ππ€©
Point-Of-Care Ultrasound Examinations (POCUS) are a form of targeted scans used in emergencies to answer specific diagnostic questions.
The APOCUS can be used to identify peritoneal and retroperitoneal free fluid. The technique is safe, quick, and can be repeated, allowing it to be used for ongoing patient monitoring.ππ

Fancy a ? π At IMV imaging, we always want to make sure you get the most out of your imaging equipment.
X-ray can be a tricky skill to learn, and often positioning is half the battle when using radiography to make a clinical diagnosis.
So, we have prepared an ultimate run down of X-ray positioning guides, that can be used digitally or printed as posters for your practice. The terms used to describe radiographic positioning can be confusing and depend on the area being imaged, this booklet breaks down these terms and gives handy top tips for every position π‘
