Your artistry continues to inspire the school community.

We were delighted to host our Junior School Foundations for Learning Forum on Friday evening, bringing together Heads and representatives from Early Childhood Development centres and nursery schools within our feeder community.

The forum was designed to strengthen partnerships, encourage collaboration, and provide a platform for meaningful dialogue around the foundational years of learning. By sharing knowledge and best practice, we continue to build stronger pathways for children as they transition from Nursery through to Grade 0 and beyond.

We extend our sincere thanks to Judy Innes, Headmistress of St John’s Bridge Nursery School, for her valuable contribution to the discussions, as well as to all our guests who joined us for this important exchange.

We were also privileged to welcome Roedean School (SA) Board Chair and Old Girl, Ms Nicky Fitzgerald, whose presence reinforced our shared commitment to educational excellence and lifelong learning.

Well done to our hockey teams who put in a strong performance against St Teresa’s on Wednesday.

Our U14s secured a solid 1 - 0 victory, followed by another impressive 1 - 0 win from the U16 2nd team.

The 1st team delivered a tightly contested match, finishing in a hard-fought 0 - 0 draw.

A fantastic display of determination and teamwork across all fixtures. Well done to all our players for representing the school with pride.

A strong showing from our Roedean footballers in matches played on 10 June against Marist Brothers Linmeyer.

Our Open Team displayed tremendous teamwork in a closely contested encounter, narrowly losing 1–0.

Meanwhile, our U15 Team continued their winning form with an impressive 3–1 victory, demonstrating energy and skill throughout the match.

Congratulations to all our players for representing the school with pride and sportsmanship. We look forward to the next fixture.

Last week, our Ante Matric Drama students had the privilege of engaging with award-winning filmmaker and storyteller Jordy Sank following a screening of his film Amazeze (Flea).

Exploring themes of social exclusion, identity, and belonging, the film sparked thoughtful discussion and insightful questions from our students, who engaged deeply with the issues presented through the lens of storytelling.

We are grateful to Jordy for sharing his time and expertise, and for reminding us of the power of storytelling to foster empathy, challenge perspectives, and inspire change.

Rati proudly represented Gauteng at the Gauteng Gymnastics Festival on Saturday, 13 June, delivering yet another outstanding performance. Competing against talented gymnasts from across the province, she earned a gold medal and secured an impressive 8th place overall in the competition.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

We are incredibly proud of Rati and all that she has accomplished. May she continue to pursue excellence and fly the Roedean flag high.
