Recently, our Ante Matric Design students had the privilege of welcoming award-winning South African sustainable textile and fashion designer, Sindiso Khumalo.

Sindiso shared insights into her career and creative journey, offered her expertise, and spent time learning about our students’ own design projects and aspirations.

Her work, known for its bold prints and strong connections to her Zulu and Ndebele heritage, forms part of the Design curriculum studied by our Ante Matric and Matric students, making the opportunity to meet and learn from her particularly special.

Experiences like these allow our students to connect what they study in the classroom with the world of professional design, learn directly from industry leaders, and see the possibilities that their own creativity can unlock

We proudly celebrate Limpho Lebona, who achieved an extraordinary 100% in her Trinity College Grade 8 Piano Practical Examination.

Grade 8 is the highest level of Trinity College’s graded practical examinations, making a perfect score an exceptional achievement. At this level, the examination demands far more than technical proficiency, assessing musical interpretation, expression and artistry at an advanced level.

As Marius Brink, Director of Music at Roedean, reflected:

“In 40 years as a musician, I have never known a candidate to receive 100% for a practical examination. This is a phenomenal achievement.”

We also recognise Limpho’s music teacher, Snezana Ivanovic, whose expertise, guidance and dedication have played an important role in nurturing Limpho’s musical development and supporting her journey to this remarkable milestone.

Congratulations on this remarkable achievement, Limpho.
