Saheti PTA

Saheti PTA This is the page of the SAHETI Parent Teacher's Association. Traditionally, the PTA has been a fund raising organisation. Please join them.

The Parents' Teachers' Association is a fundamental link in the chain of an effective school. Its role in recent years, however, has grown into one of a more co-operative alliance between the important people in children's lives: the parents and the teachers. Every single parent and teacher is a de facto member of the PTA. The PTA welcomes your presence at their meetings. Not only would you find out all about the school, but you too will have a voice in shaping its future. Like any other organisation, the PTA needs constant input from new people with new ideas. Look out for their notices and come to their meetings.

Following on from the Bouzouki Band at the Alberton church fundraiser: I came across a remarkable fellow there named Johnson Sehroro. He is the owner and Roastmaster of his own Ladha brand of coffee. Delicious!

What is notable about that you ask?
All his baristas are deaf!

He has empowered and taught them the skills to satisfy people's need for their daily coffee fix!

He does functions for a modest fee to pay costs and the salaries of his baristas!

Johnson, we salute your passion, humility and filotimo!

Johnson can be contacted on 078 347 5958 for more information.

This presentation was given by Dr George Vlachos, educational attache at the Greek consulate. It gives a great overview of our liberation. (No sound though)
