| Phase 1 applications of learners currently in Grade 7 in public schools in Gauteng for Grade 8 in 2022 begins today at 08:00. Parents & guardians will be sent an SMS with an application link to begin applying. Best wishes to all!

| Before the Phase 1 Application Period begins, a verification process by primary schools will start from 2 August - 6 August 2021 to confirm and update parents/guardians’ details such as cellphone number, ID number and home.

PLEASE NOTE: Parents and guardians must provide schools with ONE reliable cellphone number which they use on a daily basis so that they can receive important SMSes throughout the application period.

| IMPORTANT: These are the documents required for Grade 1 and 8 applications. Parents & guardians must ensure that these documents are certified & uploaded on the system/submitted at schools within 7 DAYS of applying.
