This is a space for children to feel free, relax and of course, to have fun, while developing their creative potential. My students are given the opportunity to develop their own unique style in expressing themselves. They are motivated to make their own decisions on how to take on a project and develop self confidence in their own viewpoints. The focus is more on discovering the wonderful world of colour, texture and design, than on producing a perfect example of my ideas. In this way they manage to do beautiful work, but they also develop a sense of achievement in their own ability. Agt jaar gelede, het my droom van 'n kuns-studio begin realiseer, waar kinders kan ontspan en die wêreld van kreatiwe denke ontdek. Hier kry hulle die geleentheid om hulle eie unieke styl te ontwikkel en hulself uit te beeld deur kreatiewe projekte. Hulle word gemotiveer om self besluite te neem en bou so vertroue in hulle eie denkwyses en vermoëns. Die fokus in my klasse is meer op die ontdekking van kleur, tekstuur en ontwerp in plaas van 'n perfekte voorbeeld van my idees. Ek glo sterk daaraan dat die proses van 'n kunsprojek belangriker is as die eindproduk.
