I recently had the privilege of representing the Thandulwazi Maths and Science Academy, one of the St Stithians College schools, at the St Stithians Founders' Day celebration.
Founders' Day is an annual event that celebrates the history, values, and legacy of St Stithians College. The occasion brought together learners, educators, parents, alumni, guest speakers, and members of the wider community to reflect on the school's journey and the impact it continues to have on future generations.
The programme included inspiring guest speakers who shared their experiences, lessons, and words of encouragement. Their stories highlighted the importance of leadership, perseverance, service, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
As part of the celebration, I was honoured to deliver a Scripture reading from Psalm 78:4–7. Although I was nervous beforehand, I am grateful for the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and contribute to such a meaningful occasion.
The experience was both inspiring and encouraging. It reminded me of the importance of using my voice, embracing opportunities, and continuing to grow as a leader. I am thankful to Thandulwazi and St Stithians for this opportunity and proud to have represented the academy at this year's Founders' Day celebration.

Thank you to Ms Ngcobo for accompanying our aspiring grade 8 twin leaders to the Women's awards.
The reflection of the Awards:
"Seeing women win so many awards was really inspiring for us. It showed us that anything is possible if you work hard and believe in yourself.
We are super grateful to Wired4Women and iSchoolAfrica for sponsoring our Coding and Robotics club it really means a lot to us. Because of them, we’ve started learning how to code and even create our own apps, which is something we never thought we could do before.
It feels like a whole new world has opened up to us, and it’s both exciting and a little challenging in a good way. Now, when we think about the future, it doesn’t feel scary it actually feels exciting and full of possibilities."
