This is what we love doing โ career conversations in action! ๐
Last week Elise McCabe - Career Transition Coach spent the afternoon at the Wits Business School Career Fair, connecting with students and alumni.
Sometimes, a quick focused conversation, the right question or a different perspective can help someone see their next step a little more clearly.
Thank you to WBS for inviting Career Management Consulting to be part of the day.
We loved being part of so many wonderful career conversations.

One of the themes we regularly discuss with clients is the importance of building authentic professional relationships.
This weekend served as a powerful reminder that while technology enables us to connect across cities, countries, and continents, there is something uniquely valuable about meeting face-to-face. Behind every profile is a person, behind every career journey is a story, and behind every conversation is the potential for opportunity.
Elise McCabe our Founder & Career Coach experienced this on Saturday at Value ed Legacy Leadership Gala Dinner. As one of the hosts delivering a 'navigating your job search session' for many years now, this event provided the opportunity to meet another Value ed host, Siyabonga plus Value ed team members, where connection had only been online.
Human connection matters. Vikela Rankin we appreciate all you and your team do.

Last week Elise McCabe - Career Transition Coach joined Value ed again to host another session in the Navigating Your Job Search series on the topic:
โAre You Positioning Yourself for the Opportunities You Want?โ
Such an important reminder for young professionals entering the world of work:
Opportunities are not only about qualifications - they are also about visibility, confidence, communication, relationships, and how intentionally you prepare yourself for growth.
One of the most powerful reflections from the session:
โIf the right opportunity appeared tomorrowโฆ would the right people know you exist?โ
Thanks for creating meaningful spaces that continue to invest in the growth and future readiness of young professionals.

Are you positioning yourself for the opportunities you want?
If the right opportunity appeared tomorrow... would the right people know you exist?
โก๏ธ You do not need to have your entire future figured out right now. But you DO need to become intentional about how you are preparing for it!

Thereโs something deeply human about imposter syndrome - it shows up in spaces where growth is happening.
On Saturday, our Career Transition Coach, Elise McCabe had the privilege of hosting and facilitating a masterclass with the incredible students and beneficiaries of The Tomorrow Trust. Together, we unpacked what imposter syndrome really is. How to recognise it, why it shows up, and how to navigate those moments when self-doubt feels louder than confidence.
What stood out most was the honesty in the room. The willingness to name the feeling, to reflect, and to engage in conversations that are often left unspoken.
These are not just โsoftโ conversations - they are foundational. Because when individuals begin to understand their internal narrative, they can start to shift it.
A heartfelt thank you to The Tomorrow Trust team for the opportunity, and to each student who showed up fully and engaged so meaningfully.
You reminded Elise that confidence is not about having all the answers. Itโs about learning to trust yourself in the moments you donโt.
