Screen-Free September is here!

This September, we're encouraging our Stirling families to put the screens down and make more room for what childhood is all about.

More playing.
More exploring.
More creating.
More imagining.
More time together.

Because sometimes, the best things happen when we simply switch the screens off.

Will you join the challenge? 📵

All in a day at Stirling Pre-School.

Being celebrated. Painting. Learning. Exploring. Imagining. Making friends. Growing in confidence. And, of course, having plenty of fun along the way.

Every day brings new opportunities to learn through play, discover something new and enjoy the magic of childhood.

Enrolments for 2027 are now open. Come and join us for all the fun of learning at Stirling Pre-School.

There’s so much happening when children play.

They’re balancing, climbing, moving, exploring, creating games, solving little problems and learning how to play alongside one another.

What looks like a simple afternoon outside is actually full of opportunities to build confidence, coordination, independence, creativity and social skills.

At Stirling Pre-School, we believe children need time and space to simply be children, because play is not separate from learning. Play is learning.

And sometimes, the best learning happens when little feet are muddy, hands are busy and imaginations are in charge.

Outdoor play is so important for our little ones. It gives them the freedom to move, explore and discover the world around them while building confidence and independence.

From climbing and swinging to balancing, exploring and imaginative play, every adventure helps develop new skills. Even taking small, age-appropriate risks teaches children to problem-solve, make choices and trust their own abilities.

For our babies, outdoor play isn’t just about having fun. It’s about growing, learning and discovering what their little bodies can do, one adventure at a time.

Dinosaurs are our theme this week, and we kicked things off with some fantastic modelling artwork!

Our little artists carefully observed a dinosaur figurine and then used their creativity and fine motor skills to recreate it using modelling materials. It was wonderful to see how each child interpreted their dinosaur in their own unique way.

A fun, hands-on way to explore dinosaurs while encouraging creativity, concentration and imagination!

Today, our littles had an udderly wonderful time at Douglas Dairy! 🐄🥛

They got to experience farm life up close, including feeding milk to the calves and seeing how milk makes its way through the factory.

It was a day filled with curious little minds, big smiles and plenty of hands-on learning. We love turning everyday experiences into special memories! 🤍

Our Mini Beast creations have taken over the classroom! 🐞

As part of our Insects theme and our exploration of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, our little learners have been getting creative while discovering more about the fascinating world of mini beasts.

From beautiful ladybirds and caterpillars to sequencing activities, drawings and colourful mini-beast artwork, each activity has given the children an opportunity to explore, create and share what they have learned.

Through their artwork, they have been developing fine-motor skills, practising sequencing, recognising patterns and details, and using their imaginations to bring their mini-beast discoveries to life.

We love seeing their personalities shine through every creation, and we think our little artists have done an amazing job! ❤️🐞🦋

Welcome to our Mini Beast World! 🐛🦋🐞

Our insect adventure has been full of movement, imagination and hands-on learning as we explore The Very Hungry Caterpillar and discover more about the fascinating world of mini beasts.

The children have been busy buzzing like bees, jumping like grasshoppers, crawling like spiders and fluttering like butterflies, while exploring insects through stories, art and creative activities.

It is wonderful to see how much learning can happen when little learners are encouraged to move, explore and have fun!

A week of mini beasts, big imaginations and lots of learning! 🐞🦋

Our children have been developing their gross motor skills through a variety of fun movement activities.

From walking along straight lines and practising cross-overs to strengthen their ability to cross the midline, to jumping and moving through different lines and shapes, every activity encourages coordination, balance, body awareness and control.

Learning through movement makes developing these important skills fun, active and engaging! 💛
