Happy and healthy to learn and play. πŸ’š

At Stirling Pre-School, we believe that children learn best when they feel happy, secure, and excited to explore the world around them.

Through play, sensory experiences, movement, creativity, and meaningful interactions, we create opportunities for children to develop socially, emotionally, and cognitively in a nurturing environment.

Every child is unique, and we celebrate each stage of their learning journey. From laughter-filled playtime to moments of discovery and wonder, every day is an opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.

Because when children are happy and healthy, learning becomes a joyful adventure.

A little recap of our Environment Day creations πŸŒπŸ’š

From carefully crafting Earth with helping hands to painting the world through little eyes and creating artwork from recycled materials, our learners explored the importance of caring for our planet in creative and meaningful ways.

It's never too early to teach children that even small hands can make a big difference.

What a wonderful morning celebrating our Fun with Dad Day yesterday! πŸ’™

A heartfelt thank you to all the dads, grandfathers, uncles, stepdads, and father figures who joined us today. Your time, laughter, encouragement, and presence mean so much to our little ones.

The smiles, games, and special moments shared created memories that will be treasured for a long time. Thank you for making the morning so special and for the important role you play in helping our children grow, learn, and thrive.

Our Stirling families proudly got behind Bafana Bafana on Thursday night! πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

While the result didn't go our way, the South African spirit, pride, and passion were on full display. We loved seeing our families come together to support our national team and show what it means to stand united.

Win or lose, we'll always be cheering for the boys in green and gold!

Our shaving foam sensory play activity was apparently "muddy" and judging by those smiles, it was the best mud they've ever seen πŸ˜‚

Sensory play isn't just messy fun. It helps develop fine motor skills, creativity, language, and confidence through exploration.

Ball skills are about so much more than play! ⚽

Activities involving throwing, catching, rolling, and controlling a ball help children develop Hand-Eye Coordination, Concentration, Attention, Balance, Timing, and Spatial Awareness.

These foundational skills support confidence, learning, sport, and everyday development, all while having fun and staying active.

Last week our little learners explored the importance of recycling through creative artwork.

From our colourful recycling arrows to our funny litter bugs finding their way into the dustbin, the children learned that small actions can make a big difference for our planet.

Learning to care for the environment starts young, and creativity is one of the best ways to make those lessons stick. 🌱

Did you know that crossing the midline helps build important connections between the left and right sides of the brain?

This simple and fun activity supports Speech and Language Development, Concentration, Coordination, and Reading Readiness. By encouraging your child to reach across their body, you're helping strengthen the neural pathways needed for everyday learning and communication.

Try this activity for a few minutes each evening before story time and watch these foundational skills grow through play.

A morning well spent in nature β™»οΈπŸŒΏπŸ’š

Our oldest children took a walk to the Wetlands and helped clean up the area around them. Through this hands on experience, they learned the importance of caring for the environment, taking responsibility for their actions, and keeping their community beautiful.

We are so proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork, and respect they showed throughout the adventure. What a wonderful way to learn by doing.
