Diary of a Math Kid description
Recent research has shown that the ONLY successful way to study Mathematics and Science is through bite-size revision of previously taught concepts. Diary of a Math Kid has been designed according to these principles. The diaries follow the CAPS sequencing of Core concepts taught in South Africa. Included in the Diaries are fun puzzles, problem solving questions and time for reflection as well. Unpacking one’s thinking, using journal prompts has been identified as one of the most important skills our children need for success in the 21st Century. My dream is that Diary of a Math Kid will eliminate the fear for Maths and develop every child’s confidence and potential in the subject.

Bookings are now open. These workshops are in-person workshops in Bryanston, Johannesburg. Space very limited to adhere to Covid regulations.

Freedom Day honours the anniversary of South Africa's first non-racial election of 1994.

The 2021 Annual Teaching Plans has been released and I have updated my Diary of a Math Kid to follow the suggested plan. These diaries will:

Ensure retention of concepts taught using a spaced revision approach

Empower you as parents to identify problem areas and remediate these before it's too late

Remove the anxiety that a child may have for Mathematics as the daily tasks are fun and only 10 - 15 minutes long. At the end of every week your child would of done 75 minutes of revision without realising
