Matric upgrade/ Rewrite - facts only (South Africa)

A matric allows recent Matric candidate to retake one or more subjects they previously wrote in order to improve their marks, while a matric upgrade( Adult matric) is for matric candidate aged 21 & older Who want to improve results or Change subjects; both options are written mainly in the May/June Exam sitting, you can rewrite selected subjects, your best marks from all sitting are combined into one final certificate through ulUmalusi, and the purpose is to improve your pass status, meet University or college requirements, and strengthen your overall matric results.

Don't throw your uniforms bcz you might need it after results.

Matric results for class of 2025 will be released on 13th of January 2026.

There is no substitute for hard work and so we wish all matriculants great success and express confidence in their abilities to do their best in exams.
