Threading a pipe cleaner through holes is a purposeful fine motor activity designed to support the child’s developing coordination and concentration. 🤌🏼
As the child carefully guides the flexible pipe cleaner through each hole, they are refining their pincer grip, hand-eye coordination, and bilateral coordination (using both hands together in a controlled way). ✨
This activity also encourages focus, patience, and problem-solving, as the child learns to align the pipe cleaner with each opening and adjust their movements as needed.
The tactile nature of the materials provides a sensory experience, while the repetitive action helps to build confidence and independence.🥰

What a special way to end our insect theme 🐝🍯
Today we were visited by a real beekeeper who showed us how honey is made, from busy bees collecting nectar to the final golden product we enjoy. The children learned all about the important role bees play in our environment, how hives work, and why we need to protect these incredible little pollinators. It was a hands-on, engaging experience that brought our week of learning to life in the sweetest way! 🌻🐝

Watching our hungry caterpillar come to life 🐛💚
The children fed our caterpillar using beans, carefully moving the box lid to guide the beans into its mouth.
This fun, hands-on activity helps develop hand-eye coordination, strengthens wrist muscles, and builds fine motor skills and dexterity.
Learning through play at its best ✨
