As you might have seen in our 'cosplay events for 2024' (link in bio), that none of our upcoming workshops are listed.

This is because our team are working on some exciting content and features, such as an online shop selling various cosplay materials. We do not know as of yet if we will be able to run any workshops this year, but if we do, we will let you know.

If you would like to donate to our non-profit or sponsor a cosplayer to attend our workshops, you can DM us and we will assist you.

We thank you for your patience and continued support with our platforms and workshops. 💜

Last year I decided I want to do my first DIY cosplay for CCA. I had a concept but no idea how I was going to sew it. I hated sewing class in high school so never learned to use a sewing machine. My mom Magda Badenhorst Begeman tried to convince me to learn but I was stubborn, and now stuck. While searching Facebook I came across Gauteng Cosplay Workshops and they were offering a sewing workshop. I immediately made a plan to get a ticket and my mom bought me my first sewing machine in excitement of me learning. I let the team know I have never sewn before and they told me not to worry they will assist me (I only ever hand sewed any costumes for my daughter. The workshop was amazing and my sewing journey started. I cannot thank the ladies from Gauteng Cosplay Workshop enough for all they taught me and still do. Here is a short video of the first day.
