This past weekend, West Rand SDA Primary hosted our annual concert, centred around the theme “Jesus’ Miracles.” 🌟

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with music, creativity, laughter, and moments that reminded us of the stories of Jesus and the miracles He performed. Our learners had the opportunity to bring these stories to life through their performances, while also sharing the talents and gifts God has given them.

More than simply being a concert, the afternoon was a celebration of faith and an opportunity for our school community to come together. We are incredibly proud of all our learners for the effort, confidence, and enthusiasm they put into their performances, and grateful to our teachers, staff, parents, and everyone who contributed to making the afternoon such a memorable one.

It was a beautiful afternoon spent celebrating our learners, our community, and the miracle-working power of Jesus 🙏💙

Support staff often work quietly behind the scenes – but their impact is felt in every corner of a school 💛

Meet Ms Tamlyn Williams. Ms Williams plays an important role in the West Rand SDA Primary School community, bringing dedication, care, and purpose to her work each day.

Her favourite verse, John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – speaks to the heart of her faith and the love that guides her service.

She believes that teaching is a ministry of transformation where knowledge and faith converse to inspire learners to become ambassadors of Christ’s love and agents of change in a fallen world.

Mrs Edrei Brown, our Principal at West Rand SDA Primary School, has dedicated 15 years of faithful service to the school community. She is an educator and leader deeply committed to faith, purposeful leadership, and meaningful education that shapes both character and learning.

Alongside leading the school community, she teaches Life Skills to Grades 4–6 and Social Sciences to Grades 6 & 7, helping learners grow both academically and personally.

Her favourite Bible verse, John 15:4 – “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me,” – reflects the foundation of her leadership and approach to education.

Her teaching philosophy is a powerful reminder of what truly matters:
"One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like... but, the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child." – Forest E. Witcraft.

Mrs Sikhangezile Dube has been part of the West Rand SDA Primary School family for the past year, teaching English across Grades 4–7 and Bible in Grade 7 📚

Her favourite Bible verse, Psalm 139:14 – “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – reflects the message of value and purpose she hopes every learner carries with them.
