Today our brilliant learners tackled the Ultimate Uphill Bike Challenge using LEGO 🚀 Their mission? Design, build, and program a motorized LEGO bike to conquer a steep incline—and then re-engineer it to be the FASTEST in the class. 🏁
It wasn't just about raw speed; it was a hands-on masterclass in mechanical engineering. Our students had to balance gear ratios, torque, friction, and the robot's centre of gravity. Seeing the learners tweak their code and swap out gears to shave precious seconds off their time was incredible to watch! ⚙️💡

🌟 Learning through movement, play and FUN! 🌟

At St Catherine’s Convent Preschool, our little ones love getting active with Playball! 🩵
Playball helps develop important skills such as balance, coordination, gross motor skills, confidence, teamwork and spatial awareness — all while keeping our girls moving, smiling and having fun! 🏃‍♀️🎾🏀
Because at SCC, we believe that play is an important part of learning and growing. 🌈
Little bodies moving, little minds growing! 🩵

On Friday, the St Catherine’s Convent High School Art Club learners had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Wits Art Museum, where they learned more about local artists’ work. Afterwards they got the chance to express their own creativity with some tote bag painting at ArtWave Studio.

Our tech-savvy learners have been creating some automated inventions to solve everyday problems. The robot named Leo was practicing doing 'sit ups'. We love seeing this kind of innovative problem-solving in action! ⚙️💻
