SRC Communication on Deferred and Supplementary Exams:
The SRC would like to make all students aware that there will be accommodation available for students who will be writing their supplementary and deferred exams in the beginning of January 2018. Students who will be in need of res to write their exams should kindly contact the SRC treasurer via email or phone at: [email protected] or 079 249 9501.
Please be aware that arrangements can be made with the Accommodations Office through the SRC. We would like to wish students writing their exams in January all the best in their academic endeavours. Anyone who has a query is encouraged to email the SRC or come to the SRC offices at the Matrix Building 2nd floor. We will be in office from the 2nd of January.

Applications Now Open for the 2018 MQA Bursary Scheme Intake - Closing On 16 October 2017
The application period for the 2018 MQA Bursary Scheme intake is now open and qualifying learners are invited to submit their applications.
The MQA would like to invite learners excelling in maths and science, who will be studying towards a career in the mining and minerals sector, to apply for an MQA bursary. The MQA Bursary Scheme is open to qualifying grade 12 learners or those currently writing their 2017 grade 12 examinations, and students who are studying towards a certificate, diploma, degree or BTech at a university or university of technology. Students at Technical Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) colleges also qualify.
1. The MQA bursary scheme only funds the following qualifications at universities and universities of technology:
Geology
Mining Engineering
Metallurgical Engineering (Extractive only)
Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current only)
Mechanical Engineering
Chemical Engineering (Mineral Processing)
Environmental Health Management
Mining Survey
Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Jewellery Design and Manufacturing
Analytical Chemistry
Industrial Engineering
