There is often a pre-conceived idea that we have to do everything on our own and by asking for help we are a failure. That ends right here.
EN-spiring is about helping others achieve their full potential, about helping others to learn to love themselves.

THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY!
I was sent the following link this morning from one of my newsletter subscribers. Absolutely spot on with this week's newsletter. Take a moment to listen to it - quick tip, don't listen when at work in an open plan office. I was having a proper ugly sob. It sums up what I wrote so perfectly - and heart-wrenchingly.
It is never easy to let go of our children. To watch them grow and change, but they do and we cannot stop them nor can we freeze time. One moment they are crawling into your lap for a big cuddle, looking up at you with eyes that say: "Mom, you are the most awesome thing in this world and you are my everything!" and the next they are travelling the world, living their best lives, without you!
We will always be their parents, they will always love us, but they have to grow and move on and our success factor is them doing so independently and triumphantly.
Communicate with them, spend time with them, be mindful in every moment and love them with every fibre in you.

As we draw to the end of the Government School's 1st term, we are reminded that this time next term, exams begin. For lots of children, this will be the first time they write exams - quite a daunting time, not eased by everyone older than them telling them how much work it is and how scary they are!!!
For others it is the 2nd, 3rd, 4th ...... year that they are writing exams and even then it is sometimes a very daunting time.
It doesn't have to be, if they have the right tools and the right mindset they can get through them more easily than without. There doesn't have to be a BIG build up to them that terrifies them and stresses them out far too much to even have any space left to focus on preparing and learning.
And we as their parents also need skills and tools to deal with our children and exam time!!! One main thing I want to ask first and foremost is - please do not project your fear or aversion of exams on to your child. Exams are part of our children's school career so let's assist them in getting through them, not hinder them on the way there.

Thoughtful Thursday!
Twice today and another time this week - all from different people - I have heard something very similar, in completely different ways!
The first: "I love my bubble, I am happy in my bubble and my bubble works! I have my friends, I have my family and I have my health."
Second: "Today I have decided to focus on the positive. On what I have - which from those I know who live elsewhere or have been and come back - is a lot AND is good!"
Third - Brent Lindeque Things that he loves. "So I created a list of beautiful things that exist in this life, but sometimes we can't see (or forget exist). Thank you so much for this Brent Lindeque what a beautiful reminder.
The one that stood out the most for me was #8 People who remind you that good things still exist.
You are one of those people as are the other 2 I mentioned above.
There are times when we need to be taken out of our own heads and shown the world through someone else's eyes. And there are times when we need to take ourselves out of our own heads and just LOOK AROUND.
Yes, there is a whole lot that is wrong, a whole lot that may be broken, but if we stop and smell the roses we'll realise that there is so much goodness around us. There are so many positives and things to be grateful for.
I'm going to end this off with my thoughtfulness and ask you to share (or at least stop and think about) what you are grateful for.
I am grateful that I have the ability to put my thoughts down AND that there are people out there who read what I say. I am grateful for those that I can help and those that help me.
I am grateful for love, for my beautiful family and my incredible friends. And I am grateful for those whom I haven't met yet and those that make this crazy planet of ours such an amazing microcosm to be a part of.
My inspiration for the next book in the Diggle series!
Thank you girls for your creativity and inventiveness!
The Flying Flogger 2000 - swooping in and whisking Diggle's friends off to faraway places forever!
A serious challenge our children are having to face and deal with more often than not at the moment - families emigrating regularly. It's not easy for us as adults losing close friends! We can rationalise it, we know they aren't leaving us. For children it's a little more difficult to understand and work out.
A conversation that should be had with our children so that they understand it isn't because of them and that - luckily for us in this day and age - there are ways to easily communicate and stay in touch no matter how far away they move.
This week's newsletter is about feeling a little like you lose yourself in all the roles you perform and hats you have to wear.
There is so much more to us than the titles that we carry, sometimes we need support and encouragement to realise that. However, all those hats and roles contribute to the us that we are.

Thoughtful Thursday!
WOW quite a day - How is everyone feeling? What is everyone thinking? Things got even crazier today around Eskom - it does get you thinking!!!
However, I don't want to waste my precious energy thinking about that - instead I am thinking about the upcoming Disco at my children's school. An annual event that is looked forward to for weeks beforehand. The excitement this week has been palpable! It is so refreshing to see kids in their element, (hopefully) oblivious to the troubles we as parents face and the stresses we think about.
So for the rest of this week I am Disco-ing, forgetting about reality and ensuring my kids, and those they are at school with, have the best night of their lives.
A fantastic team, supporting, suggesting and assisting everywhere, is what makes it ALL possible...
Thoughtful Thursday came and went in an absolute flash. It has been one of those weeks where it feels like the candle has been burning at both ends all week and I have been running from pillar to post.
But guess what?! WE MADE IT TO FRIDAY WOOHOO
I wanted to build on to my Newsletter for this week where the theme was around asking for help.
You know when someone is sincerely offering help and when they are just paying you lip service.
People who want to help, will offer it - and they actually do WANT to help. So TAKE the help. Don't feel you will be inconveniencing them by accepting. They wouldn't offer otherwise.
Think about how you can change your attitude to people offering help - because you know you would be offering if someone you know needed it.
Now go and put your feet up - however it may be that you do that - and have FABULOUS weekend.
Someone said to me yesterday: WOW, you are always on the go! You're always so busy! Please tell me how you do it and find time!?
It's not hard when the things you are doing are the things that you love, that bring you joy and that you hope, ultimately, will help/empower/uplift/EN-spire/bring a little ray of hope, to those you are doing it for and with.
If you haven't signed up for my Email Newsletter as yet, please do! You can either put your email address in the comments below, or send it to me directly. No commitment needed from you - you don't even have to read them if you don't feel like it. And if you think they are absolute bo****ks and add no value to your life - UNSUBSCRIBE. I promise not to take it personally or hold it against you 😉
I am subscribed to so many newsletters, I put them into my "Reading Material" folder and go back to that folder once a week and something that didn't appeal to me a month ago, will suddenly jump out at me, and I'll devour it there and then. Life is all about timing - so come on, do it. Sign-up now!
