So excited to be well underway with our 3rd and final ballet term for the year! We’re working on upcoming RAD exams and/or end of year video showcases. New pupils always welcome!

Teacher Shelley has had her jab and can’t wait to get back into the studio with all my ballet kids!

So proud of my dedicated pupil who undertook her Grade 3 Class Award last year and recently received her certificate and medal sent from the RAD headquarters in London. I’m in awe of how far this lovely dancer has come and so enjoy teaching her. Devastated that we had to defer the Primary Exams that were set to take place last weekend due to Covid complications. We eagerly await the next round of examinations and will continue working hard on new RAD syllabus in the meantime. RAD ballet exams encourage motivation and promotion enjoyment of dance. They create invaluable life lessons and a sense of achievement like no other for young children! Term 2 for is slightly disrupted at present but we will find a way to resume lessons one way or another just as soon as we can!

Let’s commemorate Youth Day South Africa! Blessed to be able to to our country’s youth... to all and any child of this ! Let the spirit of Ubuntu live on in each pointed step we take and each leap we make 💜🩰🌈🇿🇦

Happy International Dance Day! Pooch Pop and I plus one of my lovely students and her lovely mom celebrated recently by watching in their performance of &Beyond! Dance is very much alive and well here in Jozi... so grateful to be able to as SLWBS commences with Term 2 lessons this Saturday 1 May! Looking forward to welcoming some new baby ballerinas and working towards an upcoming RAD Primary examination!

And sometimes for ballet class we dress up just because we can! Fairies/ leopards... if not why not?!
