JOIN US! The EE HPC WG presents a Technical Showcase of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's (LLNL) data center and the El Capitan supercomputer. This virtual event will be held on September 25th, 2025 from 08:00 to 11:00 AM Pacific Time.

This will be an "under the hood" look at the LLNL data center and the El Capitan supercomputer. An agenda will be forthcoming, but it will certainly include specifics on their ex*****on challenges for the site infrastructure project, as well as installation and integration challenges for their electrical and mechanical systems.

This year's Annual Workshop for the EE HPC WG focuses on energy efficiency and sustainability for large scale, high-density HPC as well as AI.

- Water management for system and facility cooling with Chris DePrater (LLNL), Michael Kercher (NCAR), Torsten Wilde (HPE) and Otto VanGeet (NREL)

- AI and HPC operations and facility infrastructure with Jason Hick (LANL), Ryousei Takano (AIST), Sadaf Alam (University of Bristol) and Al Geist (ORNL),

Second day 26.06. (8:00AM - 10:00AM Pacific Time)

- Software driven power and energy management with Michael Ott (LRZ), Ralf Schneider (HLRS), Kazunori Mikami (RIKEN), Sid Jana (Intel) and Gülçin Gedik (TU Dresden)

- Alternative power sources for data centers with Sean Jones (Tesla), Matthew Anderson (INL) and Shaohui Liu (MIT)
