Students who fail to obtain a 60% course average will no longer be eligible for financial aid starting from next year (2025).

Comrade Ashley Van Der Westhuizen's, 100% in Tourism in 2023 matric results. He teaches at Westonaria High School in Gauteng West District.

Comrade Motshewa Seshaoka Deputy Secretary Vereeniging Branch, South- West Region, Gauteng Province. 100% English FAL @ New Hope Secondary School which obtained 79% pass.

Progressive Students Movement-PSM wish to send a stern warning to all schools withholding learners stationeries due to outstanding "donations" and provision of typeks. It has come to our attention that thousands of learners across the country have been denied basic learning and teaching support material for failing to pay donation/registration fee charged by various schools in the country. With some matriculants have kicked-off their academic year yesterday we have picked that some pupils have been sidelined and left in the cold as a result of being indigents.

We wish to remind all schools and SGBs that denying a kid access to basic education is a criminal offense and any principal denying a kid such right will have a criminal case opened against them. Further remind these principals that basic education was declared fee free by South African government does imposing a compulsory registration fee is illegal and unjustifiable. PSM will therefore open criminal cases against principals who have turned kids away for not providing donation and typek.

PSM will continue to visit schools to provide aid for the underprivileged learners.

Members of the Community of Wintervildt and PSM Tshwane are called to take part in the school shutdown at Nick Mpshe Technical and Commercial School tomorrow after the safety of learners was put on the risk by poor school management team. We call upon the resignation of the principal of the school with immediate effect.
