Earlier on today, the University of Johannesburg had the privilege of welcoming Professor Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, for an insightful public lecture focused on artificial intelligence, technological disruption, and the future of universities in the Intelligent Age.🧡
Drawing from his latest book, ‘Universities, Professors, and Students in the Intelligent Age’ ; Prof. Schwab encouraged higher education institutions to rethink their purpose in a world increasingly shaped by AI, quantum computing, and rapid global transformation.
The conversation unpacked topics such as leadership, stakeholder capitalism, trust, inequality, and the responsibility of universities to equip students with not only knowledge, but the ability to adapt, think critically, and innovate in a changing world.🤩
