We are deeply saddened by the violence against women and girls in our country. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and communities grieving lives lost, and with every woman and girl who lives with fear.

As a community of boys and men, we cannot remain silent. At St Benedict’s, we are reminded that we are our brother’s keeper. That responsibility extends to our sisters too.

We have a responsibility to speak up, challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours, and help build a culture where women and girls are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

As a Catholic community, we pray for those affected by gender based violence and femicide, and for the courage to be part of the change our country needs.

We are our sisters’ keepers.

On Monday our playground turned into a farmyard and the boys enjoyed a real life farm experience where they learned about the animals, fed them and even rode a pony! Thank you The Farm Corner for the wonderful hands-on experience! We loved having you! 💙♥️
