Some sound advise. Take it , leave it.
Acrobatics is an art form on its own. It is a beautiful combination of balance, flexibility, strength and control. Whether you are a freestyle dancer , aerialist or any other kind of dancer, please take the time to learn the acrobatic elements correctly. Each and every year that passes I notice more and more that the technique of the acrobatic elements in other forms of dance ( not all ) are taken very lightly and what looks to be thrown together with the mind set of " well you basically getting it , so put it it your routine"😳 OH dear... no no no. Rather don't add it if it does not check all the boxes. It does absolutely nothing for your routine if you already have a routine which is polished with good strong elements related to your dance form, technique flowing from start to finish and utmost confidence. It actually does more damage to your end product if the acro element is not correct. I know many are feeling pressure to have these elements in the routines but I can honestly tell you if the trick combos are not at the highest technical standard, it will only weaken the outcome. Get cracking on foundation and technique training and the tricks with inevitably get to where they need to be.
Eg.. I can do an advanced leg shouldering but I choose not to as it does not look like it's suppose to and it will do nothing for my aerial silk routine. ❤️

We have headed back to Pieter Toerien's Montecasino Theatre & Studio because so many of you missed us the first time around and hey, what better way to end a year and start a new one! I'm working my g*t off in this glorious production so come and see me belt out some ABBA, wave my magic wand and take a final bow like nobody's business. This is a show for the WHOLE FAMILY.
