Today we draw inspiration from 84-year-old Venda sculptor, Dr. Noria Mabasa who recently received an Honorary Doctorate in Art and Design from the University of Johannesburg (UJ). Over the last 50 years her work has contributed towards breaking cultural and gender stereotypes in a male dominated field.
