The holiday crowds are gone. The lineups have opened up. The beach is finally breathing again.
This is our favourite version of JBay! Unhurried mornings, offshore wind, and surf lessons where our instructors actually have time to watch every single student catch every single wave.

The cooler seasons in Jeffreys Bay bring a different kind of quiet.

The town finds itself again. The car parks open up. The offshore comes in clean and early, and the light on the water at 7am is something you can't really explain to someone who hasn't seen it.

🌊 And then there are the waves.

This is what JBay is actually for. Not the events. Not the crowds. This.

Consistent south swells. Those long, grinding right-handers that run so far down the point you can hear them before you see them. A colour in the water you won't find anywhere else on the coast.
We've been here through every JBay season- and the cooler ones still do it every time.

It's likely you may not be able to stand for very long on your first try… but that's kind of the whole point!😁

Our group lessons run all through the year. Small groups, real coaching, and actual JBay waves from your very first session.
We don't put you on a rope in the shallows. We get you in the water and we coach you while you're out there!

Here's what to expect:
🏄 Groups small enough that you actually get coached- not just supervised
🌊 Real waves, real feedback, real progress from session one
🤟🏼 Zero judgment. A lot of laughs. At least one wipeout. Maybe two. 😆

South swells stacking from the horizon, right-handers unspooling down the point, morning glass that holds until the offshore takes over.

There comes a point in every surfer's progression where they stop getting better.
They can get to their feet. They can ride a wave. But their surfing has plateaued and more water time alone isn't fixing it.

That's usually when people book a private session.
🏄 And that's usually when things change.

One-on-one coaching is different. It's not a lesson plan built around six people at six different levels. It's a session built entirely around you. Your timing, your pop-up, your weight distribution, your wave reading.
A coach whose only job that session is to watch you surf and tell you exactly what's happening.
