π From the Principal's Pen π
Dear Ikanyegeng Family,
It is with immense pride and gratitude that I write this message to celebrate a monumental achievement in the history of our beloved school. For the first time in 35 years, Ikanyegeng Combined School has attained a 100% Grade 12 pass rate in 2024. This milestone marks a turning point for our institution and a beacon of hope for our community.
When I joined the school in 2015, I envisioned a brighter future for our learners β a future where every child could rise above the challenges of poverty, unemployment, and substance abuse to achieve their dreams. Today, we are witnessing the fruits of our collective efforts.
This achievement would not have been possible without the firm commitment of our dedicated teachers, the resilience of our learners, and the support of parents, guardians, and our broader community. A special note of thanks to MEC Rockman and her team at the Free State Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for their recent visit and ongoing support. Their engagement highlights the importance of collaboration in addressing the challenges we face, from infrastructure and resources to social issues like teenage pregnancy and substance abuse.
As we celebrate this historic moment, let us also remember that this is only the beginning. Our challenges remain β we must ensure the operationalization of our borehole, address the state of our facilities, and establish sustainable projects like a vegetable garden. But with determination and unity, I have no doubt that we can overcome these obstacles.
Let us take this moment to reflect on what is possible when we work together and remain steadfast in our commitment to the "emancipation of the black child." To the Class of 2024, you have made us proud and set a standard for future generations. To our staff and learners, let us continue to aim higher, work harder, and dream bigger.
Hereβs to building a legacy of excellence at Ikanyegeng Combined School!
Yours in education and community development,
Mr. Vincent Ramoji
Principal
