Today we celebrate the incredible women who inspire, nurture, teach and empower the next generation. 💕✨

We are especially proud that our school is made up of an amazing team of strong, caring and dedicated women — all of our teachers and assistants!👩‍🏫💗

Week 3 of our Occupations & People Who Help Us theme has been another exciting one! 🩺🚔

Our learners were incredibly fortunate to welcome Simon from Midlands Veterinary Hospital, who taught us all about caring for animals and the important role veterinarians play in keeping our furry friends healthy. A heartfelt thank you to Midlands Veterinary Hospital for your generosity and the wonderful gifts you so kindly spoiled our learners with – your kindness is truly appreciated!

We also had a fantastic visit from Pat, Given, and the rest of the Knight Security team, who shared all about the vital work they do in keeping our communities safe.

A very special thank you to Given for being our very own hero and for always keeping our school safe. We are so grateful for your kindness, dedication, and the care you show our little ones every single day.

Thank you to all of our wonderful visitors for taking the time to inspire our learners and bring our theme to life. Real-life experiences like these make learning meaningful, memorable, and so much fun! 💙

✨The Power of Sensory Play✨

Sensory play is so much more than just fun—it plays a vital role in your child’s development. Through exploring different textures, colours, sounds, and materials, children strengthen their fine motor skills, language, problem-solving, creativity, and cognitive development, all while engaging their senses.

These hands-on experiences also encourage curiosity, build confidence, improve focus, and provide wonderful opportunities for social interaction and imaginative play.

At our school, we believe that the best learning happens when little hands are busy exploring, discovering, creating, and having fun. Every sensory experience is another opportunity for our children to learn and grow. 💛

As part of our People Who Help Us / Occupations theme, our Hippo and Penguin classes were incredibly fortunate to visit KZNFPA for a morning filled with learning, excitement, and fun! 🚒✈️🔥

Our children learnt all about the important role firefighters play in protecting our communities, explored the new Sappi fire truck, saw the spotter and bomber planes up close, and even watched a foam hose demonstration before enjoying a play in the foam!

We ended off our wonderful outing with a picnic to fill some very hungry tummies.

A huge thank you to Sappi and KZNFPA, especially Simon, Riaan, Yoliswa, Sizwe, and the rest of your incredible team, for your warm hospitality, and for all the time, effort, and knowledge you shared with us. Thank you for everything you do to keep our communities safe and for giving our children such a memorable, hands-on learning experience.

What a fantastic outing for both our children and teachers—we loved every minute! ❤️

We are so excited to unveil our brand-new Fantasy & Soft Play Room, thoughtfully created to inspire imagination, creativity, movement, and endless fun. We can't wait to see our little ones explore, play, and make special memories here when they return next term! 💛🌈

A very special thank you goes to one of our wonderful school moms, Christy, for painting the most beautiful wall mural. Your incredible talent has brought the room to life and added the perfect burst of colour and magic. We are so grateful for your time, creativity, and generosity! 🎨✨
