CHAMPIONING YOUTH DEVELOPMENT & PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Our Sports Director, Mr Ismail Kajee, and Sports Master, Mr Ashley Sokaloo, both Level 3 qualified Cricket Coaches, were honoured to be invited to assist at the recent KFC Mini Cricket Festival, hosted by the UMngeni Local Municipality.

The festival, in partnership with the KZN Inland Cricket Union, aimed to promote youth development and physical activity by bringing together learners from local schools for a morning of cricket based activities to highlight how sport builds healthy active communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and participants for making this inspiring day a massive success. We look forward to continuing to nurture the next generation of sporting talent and championing healthy lifestyles across our community.

Today, we stand on the shoulders of the brave young people of 1976, remembering their immense courage and the sacrifices made for the education and freedom we enjoy today.

Looking at our hallways, our sports fields, and our classrooms, we see that same spark of potential every single day. Our youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, they are the changemakers, creators, and voices of today.

Let’s continue to support, uplift, and empower them to build the bright future they deserve.

Happy Youth Day to our incredible youth!

Early morning, big smiles, and pure volunteer spirit!

Behind every elite runner is an army of volunteers keeping the dream alive!

Today, our Howick High learners and staff took on the vital role of manning hydration stations for elite runners at the ComradesMarathon.

True leadership is found in serving others, and our learners absolutely shone today. We are incredibly proud of them for giving their time to support these phenomenal athletes. You are the heartbeat of the community!

Congratulations to Talitha Hamblin on achieving her Silver Level President's Award for Youth Empowerment! 🥈✨

For Talitha, the journey to Silver is a lifestyle. Her adventure was packed with incredible highlights, including a 3-day, 52km hike carrying her own gear, continuous horsemanship growth in Eventing (Pony Club & SANESA), and teaching herself to crochet. With a massive heart for children and serving others, she also traveled on a mission trip to Swaziland, organized an epic 17-acre farm scavenger hunt for a 10th birthday party, and spent a grueling 10 hours at a Comrades Marathon physio station cheering on and treating runners from 5:00 AM in the dark!

Talitha has achieved so much throughout this chapter, and she is already looking forward to conquering her Gold Award next.

Age Quod Agis, Talitha!
