⛈️ STORM WARNING RAMPS UP TO ORANGE LEVEL 5

Five Northern Cape municipalities are under an Orange Level 5 severe-thunderstorm warning for Friday, with heavy rain, damaging winds, hail and excessive lightning possible.

The Level 5 warning covers Dikgatlong, Kgatelopele, Siyancuma, Siyathemba and Thembelihle, including areas around Barkly West, Daniëlskuil, Prieska and Hopetown.

A broader Yellow Level 4 warning covers 13 municipalities, including areas around Kimberley, De Aar, Kuruman, Kathu, Warrenton and Postmasburg.

Possible impacts include flooding, road and bridge closures, damage to homes and infrastructure, dangerous lightning and major travel disruption.

Residents are urged to secure loose objects, avoid flooded roads and keep monitoring official SAWS updates as conditions develop.

We are deeply grateful to Sediba and ACVV Kuruman for their generous donation to our teen mothers. 🙏🏽❤️

The donation included food parcels and essential toiletries, providing much-needed support and encouragement to our young mothers during their journey of balancing motherhood and education.

Your kindness and commitment to supporting young people in our community make a meaningful difference. Thank you for helping us remind our teen moms that they are supported, valued and not alone.🌸💐
