💃✨ A little weekend spotlight! ✨💃

Over the weekend, some of our Baobab learners took to the stage for a dance competition and we couldn’t be prouder! 🌿

It takes courage, dedication, confidence, and plenty of practice to get up on stage and perform. We love seeing our children pursue their passions, challenge themselves, and enjoy every moment along the way. 💚

Well done to all our dancers! We’re so proud of you. 👏✨

🐾 National Dog Day at Baobab Montessori! 🐾

Today we had the privilege of welcoming Luna Hounds to Baobab Montessori! Our learners had the opportunity to meet their incredible trained dogs, learn more about what they do, and discover some very interesting facts along the way. 🐕✨

There were plenty of furry tails, happy faces, and lots of excitement as we learned about the important work these amazing dogs do.

As a little thank you, our learners also collected and donated treats for the dogs. 💚🐾

A huge thank you to Luna Hounds for spending the day with us and giving our children such a special, hands-on learning experience!

🌸 The Pink Tower — with a little twist!

The Montessori Pink Tower is designed to help children develop visual discrimination, coordination, concentration, and an understanding of dimension as they build from largest to smallest.

Here, our learner is taking the activity a step further with an extension using a blindfold, relying on touch, memory, and careful movement to complete the work. ✨

Extensions like this allow children to challenge themselves, deepen their understanding, and discover new ways of working with familiar Montessori materials. 🌿

🌿 World Ranger Day at Baobab Montessori 🌿

This World Ranger Day, our learners celebrated the incredible men and women who work tirelessly to protect our wildlife, natural heritage, and the beautiful environment around us.

Through discussions and dress-up, the children discovered the important role rangers play in caring for our planet and the animals that call it home.

To bring our learning to life, we gathered around the fire and made traditional South African braaibroodjies together. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy a hands-on experience, and appreciate the simple joys of learning outdoors.

At Montessori, we believe that meaningful experiences help children develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. 🌍🌿

Term 3 is off to a wonderful start!🍃

Our learners explored a Practical Life activity by squeezing fresh orange juice using a hand juicer. 🍊

In Montessori, activities like these are about so much more than making juice. Children develop hand strength, coordination, concentration, independence, and confidence as they work through each step at their own pace. From preparing the workspace to squeezing, pouring, and cleaning up afterwards, every movement has a purpose.

It’s these everyday experiences that help children build life skills while discovering the joy of learning through doing.

🤍 Happy Father’s Day 🤍

We asked our learners a few questions about their dads, and their answers reminded us just how special these relationships are. From funny moments to heartfelt memories, it was lovely to hear how much their dads mean to them.

Behind every answer was a child who feels loved, supported, and proud of the special person they call Dad. 💚

Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who encourage, support, guide, and love so generously.
