What a beautiful evening! Our final event for the year.

This was our first class photo at Baobab Montessori 14 years ago!
The school started in a garage at my house in town.
I was reflecting on all the past photos, and looking at all the beautiful children and families I have had the privilege of being a part of.
My first little student sent me a message tonight (a little girl in this very picture) and thanked me for the honor of being a part of this school.

This school has been true to it name it has been a place of safety for many, a place of shelter, a place to receive food (both academically and my sweetie cupboard 🤣) it has provided shade a place of comfort, not just for children but for every beautiful lady that has worked with us. I hope that each teacher, assistant, cleaner and administrator will take with them a piece of the heart of Jesus who has held this school for so long.

It has been my greatest privilege to serve the families of Baobab Montessori and my heart is breaking that I (Carrie Anne) will no longer be in it
BUT…. I am so grateful for Loretta, she will be opening a small pre school from her premises. So the children of Hoedspruit will have the option to pursue Montessori right up to Grade 7.
This school is not a major big corporate school but one where your child will be loved, respected and truly be in safe hands. It promises to be a school that offers loving and authentic true Montessori education for those PARENTS who truly buy into the principles and want to work with the teachers for the benefit of their child. I am so grateful that this legacy will continue in Hoedspruit.
Though we will be closing our doors Baobab Montessori PRE AND PRIMARY will continue to thrive under the amazing owners of Loretta

We have started the study of the continents. We started this week with Africa and ended the week with a taste of South African staple.. pap or sadza in Zimbabwe.
They all went back for seconds 😋
