Let’s get those fingers working!

Todays extra activity was to pick up paper balls with pegs and place them into the bowl.

This is great for getting those tiny fingers to be stronger and gain more control over an object!👌🤏🤌💪

Threading beads for fine motor skills, concentration skills and hand & eye co-ordination!

8. Things you can use/do at home to improve these skills for your child.

1.Making something out of dough, such as pizza or cookies. 🍪

2. Using syringes and eye droppers for art projects. 🎨

3.Picking up items with tweezers, clothesline pegs, or kitchen tongs. 👌

4. Peeling fruits 🍊🍌

5. Tearing or crumpling paper 🗞️

6.Popping bubbles 🛁🫧

7. Sorting a box of smarties into groups of colour🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣🟤

8. Make a mess and have FUN! 🥳🤪😎

Our 4-5 year olds learning how to use a scissor the correct way whilst practicing on the lines and dots to cut!😀🥳

Our kids were also shown and told what NOT to do with scissors !⚠️

Fine motor skills involve the fingers, thumb , hand & wrist.

At this age it’s important to help advance the use of these body parts!
