St Anne’s has been shaped not only by the girls who walked through its gates, but by the remarkable people who walked alongside them.
In this episode, we honour the teachers, mentors and staff who gave their time, their wisdom and their hearts to generations of St Anne’s girls.
Through the reflections of former and current staff, we are reminded that teaching is about so much more than what happens in a classroom. It is about seeing potential, building confidence, nurturing curiosity, shaping character and, sometimes, simply believing in a girl before she believes in herself.
Their influence lives on in the women our Old Girls have become, in the stories they still tell, and in the values they carry with them.
Because while girls leave St Anne’s, the people who helped shape them never really leave their story.
As we journey towards 150 years of St Anne’s, this episode is a heartfelt thank you to the educators and staff who have made our history and our future so meaningful.

FROM THE STAGE TO THE CLASSROOM 💙🎭
Our Grade 10 Dramatic Arts pupils recently had the incredible opportunity to take part in a physical theatre workshop with award-winning performer Barbara Draeger, who travelled all the way from Germany to perform at the Hilton Arts Festival.
After watching Barbara’s captivating performance of Weightless in our Theatre, our girls got to step into the action themselves, exploring physical theatre, clowning and creative expression.
Barbara, who trained in Paris and Italy, brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to the workshop, ending with the girls experimenting with the smallest masks imaginable… noses!
A huge thank you to Barbara for sharing her expertise and inspiring our young performers, and to Jenine Warren for making this wonderful opportunity possible. 💙

SISTERS REPRESENTING SOUTH AFRICAN EQUESTRIAN 💙🇿🇦
We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that Esther van Eeden and Petru van Eeden have been selected to represent South Africa at the African Nations Shield Tournament in Namibia this week.
Competing as part of a team of four, they will take on riders from Zimbabwe, Kenya and Namibia.
