Bambi's Pre-Primary

Today we learnt about the giraffe in Grade 00 🦒🦒

During our main activity our little ones did a creative painting using shapes. They were asked to draw a long rectangle followed by a rectangle for the head. They added ears, spots and ossicones 🦒🦒🎨

Today our toddler group did a fun little sensory activity with our favourite pom pom balls 🟡 🔵

They had to try and pick up a pom pom ball and stick it onto the tape that was stuck on the bowl ⭐

Our Grade 000's are doing nursery rhymes as a theme. Today they made their own Baa baa black 🐑 🐏 sheep

Our Grade 000 are learning about nursery rhymes and Humpty Dumpty is today's rhyme...our little people are losing the art of remembering nursery rhymes in our busy techno age. Nursery rhymes are so important for the foundational skills of reading.

Today our Grade 0000 had fun brushing teeth.🪥 They used their fine motor skills to hold their tooth brush and to brush the teeth.
They learnt a little song that they had a lot of fun singing. 'Brush brush brush, brush your teeth' x 2🦷🪥

Today our Grade 00's learnt about the Hippopotamus 🦛🦛

They had a lovely discussion all about Hippos and learnt some fun facts about them.

During their activity, the little ones got to colour in a picture of a Hippo which we turned into a 3D art piece. 🖍️🖍️

Our Grade 000 continued our different homes theme.
We did a position in space activity.

They had to build their own house from shapes and glue their shapes into place.

Position in space is the child's ability to determine his/her position or orientation relative to an object(s) in a 2 or 3 dimensional space, or the position of an object relative to the child's position.

For example:
I am standing behind the chair/I am sitting on a tree branch/The book is in front of me/The door is at the bottom so I can walk in/The sun is high in the sky with the clouds/
The house is on the ground.

Our toddler group did a tactile sensory activity with some dinosaur play animals 🦕🦖
We had to save the dinosaurs from the pipe cleaner trap by unwrapping and figuring out how to set them free 🪤

We did a fun Friday sensory activity with our Grade 000-Grade 00's ✋🤚
Our Bambi's babes loved the squishy, wobbly, gooey feeling and sounds of the different toys 🌸
Their little facial reactions were too cute 🤍
