Our Grade 0000 practised their cutting skills cutting playdough 💫

Today, we began our Space theme in Grade 000

We did string painting to make a Galaxy.

We learnt our Galaxy is the Milky Way where our planet 🌏 Earth is.

This weeks theme is pets for our Grade 00 🐶🐱🐇🐹

We had a lovely discussion in morning ring about all the different types of pets that people have and noted that pets are tame meaning they are friendly and not wild.

Today we learnt about pet fish, understanding that fish breath using gills and live in water. My class were very quick to let me know people cannot take pet fish for a walk unless they are placed in a bag with oxygen 🐠👜 just loved the creative thinking 😂

In our activity your little ones got creative and painted bubble wrap🎨🖌️ Here they learnt to seporate light and dark colours and were able to shade the colours on their fish. Fine motor control, problem solving of painting a bubble surface and of course shape and colour reinforcement.

Thereafter we added, eye, a mouth, bubbles and fins to all their pet fish🐠🐠
