Highbury Preparatory School Highbury is an independent school for boys in Hillcrest from Grade R - Grade 7. for Grades R to 7. Highbury is where we discover exceptional potential.

Highbury, situated in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal, caters for more than 550 boys in a vibrant and stimulating learning environment. The Grade 6 boys have been working with millimetres, centimetres, metres, and kilometres, learning how to convert between them and, importantly, when each unit is actually appropriate.

Naturally, this called for a paper-plane challenge. The boys estimated how far their planes would fly, chose the most suitable unit of measurement, then sent them soaring to see how accurate their predictions were.

Our Business & Breakfast was exceptional this year.

It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout, with the hall buzzing as parents, local business owners and members of our wider community connected, chatted, and made new introductions over breakfast.

Guests were treated to an excellent line-up, with Nicholas Tatham from East Coast Radio as MC, Rory Petzer, who brought the laughs, and author of Spud, John van de Ruit, as guest speaker.

A huge thank you to Jaye Gedye and Dillon Feuilherade for spearheading the event and helping bring it all together.

It was a brilliant morning of connection, conversation, and community.

The Grade 5 Egypt Day is always a highlight on the Highbury calendar, and this year certainly delivered!

Dressed for the occasion, the boys spent the day immersed in Ancient Egypt, solving the King Tut murder mystery, playing ancient hockey with pool noodles, racing chariots, and creating Egyptian-inspired string and foil art.

The day ended with a feast in the beautifully decorated Dining Hall with plenty of delicious food (and lots of dancing in between).

A big thank you to our Grade 5 mums who helped transform the Dining Hall and make the day feel extra special.
