The Grade 6s have been learning about electrical circuits, getting stuck into the practical side by wiring their own circuits and putting what they’ve learnt in the classroom to the test.
As always, the hands-on part was a firm favourite. There’s something very satisfying about getting all those wires in the right place and seeing that circuit work!

Our Grade R boys had some very special, furry visitors.
As part of their support for their chosen charity, Paw Prints Rescue and Rehoming - NPC 2018/554039/08 PBO 930076636, the boys set themselves a challenge for their 100 Days of School celebrations: collect 100 tins of dog food. Well, they smashed their target and collected an incredible 139 tins.
When Pawprints came to collect the donation, they brought along three adorable puppies to meet the boys and say thank you. As you can imagine, there was no shortage of excitement.

Our Senior Primary boys came dressed for the occasion, proudly sporting their House colours and ready for a day on the track.
There were some brilliant performances, plenty of cheering from the sidelines, and lots of friendly House rivalry along the way. Or, as the boys would probably put it, the day was fire.
Escombe’s finished on top, while Robinson’s made their voices heard and took home the Spirit Trophy.
Well done, boys!

The Foundation Phase Inter-House Athletics Day was packed with excitement from start to finish. From Grade R to Grade 3, every boy had the chance to get out on the track, give it his all, and cheer as loudly as he could for his House.
When we asked the boys what their favourite part of the day was, the answers came quickly: cheering for their House, the tug-of-war, and, of course, watching their mums and dads take on the parents' race.
After a morning filled with excitement, Robinson's came out on top. Well done to all our boys for giving it their best and making it such a fun day to remember.

Our Grade R boys joined the rest of the Foundation Phase for ‘big’ Chapel for the very first time this morning, and they were brilliant. They listened attentively as Mr Lacock spoke and joined in beautifully throughout the service.
Their little legs dangling from the pews were sweet enough, but the tiny chorus of “amen” after the prayer was the cherry on top. A very special Highbury first for our youngest boys.

100 Days of Grade R! 💙
Our Grade R boys celebrated 100 days at Highbury, and what a milestone it is! It feels like only yesterday they were arriving with oversized backpacks and nervous smiles. Now they're confidently calling Highbury home.
In only 100 school days, they've learnt new skills, grown in confidence, made wonderful friendships, and created core memories.
If this is what the first 100 days look like, we can't wait to see what the rest of their Highbury journey has in store.

On the menu today: ribs and chips 🍖🍟
We're pretty sure this tops the list of the boys' all-time favourite lunches!
