On 5 August, Wenzakahle Mfeka and Isabel Snook proudly represented Hillcrest Primary School at the annual Economic and Management Sciences (EMS) Quiz.

We are thrilled to announce that Wenzakahle secured 1st place and will now progress to the next round of the competition!

We are incredibly proud of both girls for their hard work, dedication and commitment, and for representing our school with such pride.

Well done, Wenzakahle and Isabel! We wish Wenzakahle the very best in the next round! 📚

A huge congratulations to our talented Hillcrest Primary rugby players who proudly represented the Sharks at their respective Inter-Provincial Rugby Tournaments during the July holidays.

Lace up those takkies and get ready for one of the most exciting events on our school calendar! Our annual Remedial Unit Walk-A-Thon is almost here, and we can't wait to see our learners walking, running and having fun while raising funds for our unit.

Learners can be sponsored per lap complete or receive a once-off donation from family and friends. Every contribution, big or small, helps make a difference.

Come dressed in your class colour, bring your biggest smiles and plenty of spirit!

Delicious hamburgers will be on sale and can be pre-ordered via the Karri App. Grab a bite while you cheer on our incredible learners!

🙋 We need your help!
We're looking for enthusiastic moms, dads, grannies, grandpas and family members who are willing to volunteer on the day to help braai hamburgers. If you'd like to lend a hand, please let your child's class teacher know.

✨ Hillcrest's Got Talent 2026 - A Night Among the Stars ✨
What a fantastic evening!
Last night, our Hillcrest learners took to the stage for Hillcrest's Got Talent 2026, sharing their talents with confidence, courage and plenty of enthusiasm. From singers and dancers to instrumentalists and group performances, every act reflected the hard work and commitment that had gone into preparing for this spectacular show.
It was wonderful to see our learners supporting one another, stepping outside their comfort zones and performing in front of such an enthusiastic audience. A special thank you to our parents and families for filling the hall and creating such a warm, encouraging atmosphere throughout the evening.

Thank you as well to Oxford Village for sponsoring us this year (and spoiling our young performers!), and to our amazing staff who worked behind the scenes and gave so generously of their time and skills to make the event possible.

Most importantly, congratulations to every performer. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves. Thank you for sharing your talents with us and making ‘A Night Among the Stars’ such a memorable evening! ⭐🎭🎶

The 2026 Hillcrest Primary Golf Day was one to remember! 💚🏌️‍♂️

The Senior Primary Chess Team travelled to the Bluff to participate in the Mardi Gras Finals. Our players represented the school with pride, displaying excellent sportsmanship, determination, and skill throughout the competition.
Congratulations to the Hillcrest team, who won the tournament for the third consecutive year and brought the trophy back to Hillcrest Primary. We are extremely proud of our players for their commitment and for being outstanding ambassadors for the school.
Well done to Hlelolwenkosi Ntshakala, Rourke Keating, Sihlosokuhle Mkhwanazi, Alessandra-Jane Morris, and Oliver Chang on this outstanding achievement. Your hard work, dedication, and teamwork have made the school proud.

🏃‍♂️Senior Primary Sports Day 2026🏃‍♀️

What a fantastic day we had on Friday! While the weather certainly tried its best to send us back to the classrooms, our Senior Primary learners and staff were having none of it! They braved the chilly conditions with smiles on their faces, incredible determination and plenty of school spirit.

From exciting races to enthusiastic cheers echoing around the field, every learner gave it their all while proudly representing their houses. The encouragement from teammates on the sidelines reminded us that Sports Day is about so much more than winning, it's about teamwork, perseverance and having fun together! 🏅

One of the biggest highlights of the day was the ever-popular Parents' Race! The competition was fierce, the laughter was contagious and our victorious Mom and Dad were proudly rewarded by Oxfords. Well done to our amazing winners!

🎉 Congratulations also to the lucky winner of R500 in the Oxfords "Subscribe & Win" competition held on the day!

A heartfelt thank you to Oxfords and Thirsti Water for being part of our Sports Day and for supporting our young learners. Your generosity and enthusiasm helped make the day even more memorable.
